2025 Honda Civic Sedan

The base version of the 2025 Honda Civic is the Civic Sedan. This compact car is the smallest and most affordable model in the current Honda lineup, starting at just $24,250.[a] However, it's worth noting that when looking at the 2025 Civic Sedan, you will find that it comes in three different versions: the original, the hybrid, and the sporty Si. Some of the key features of each are listed below:

Honda Civic Sedan

The base 2025 Civic Sedan has two trim levels: the LX and the Sport. Both are fuel efficient, with the standard 2.0L gasoline engine offering an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 32 MPG in the city and 41 MPG on the highway.[b] Each is also equipped with a number of safety features to keep you and your passengers safe on the road, as well as connectivity features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid

The new hybrid version of the Civic Sedan also offers two trim levels: the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid. The hybrid powertrain offers 50 MPG in the city and 47 MPG on the highway, making this Honda's most fuel-efficient model.[b] The Civic Sedan Hybrid is powered by a two-motor hybrid system, which charges while you’re driving for the ultimate convenience. Similar to the standard gas-powered version, the hybrid boasts an abundance of safety features and seamless connectivity, enabling you to access your favorite playlist or turn-by-turn directions while driving. Also worth mentioning is that the hybrid version offers a standard one-touch power moonroof.

Honda Civic Si

The Civic Si is perhaps the least known of the three sedan variants. It offers more aggressive styling—both inside and out—and improved power, thanks to its 200-hp 1.5L turbocharged engine. It also has a six-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, race-inspired detailing, and chrome accents throughout. Finally, you’ll notice it has Signature Si seats, which are lightweight with red detailing and designed to support and hold you in place when hitting the open road.

2025 Honda Civic Hatchback

The Honda Civic Hatchback is the ideal option for drivers who want the smooth ride of a sedan with more versatile cargo space. It also looks sporty and is fun to drive, thanks to the brand’s focus on precision handling and quick acceleration. Like the Civic Sedan, you can choose the 150-hp gas-powered version or the 200-hp hybrid powertrain, both of which are paired with a CVT for seamless performance from the first mile to the last. (There is no Si option for the Civic Hatchback; instead, it gets the Type R, which we'll cover in a moment.)

One thing you will notice right away about the Civic Hatchback is the wide view of the road the design offers, both out the rear and in the front. You’ll feel cushioned and supported as you slide into the driver’s seat, thanks to the body-stabilizing design, as well as enjoy the look of the modern dashboard, which puts everything you need right at your fingertips. Other available and standard features that you’ll enjoy include the available heated seats, one-touch power moonroof, remote engine start, and dual-zone climate control. In addition, you’ll enjoy the same connectivity options the sedan offers, ensuring you and your passengers stay engaged and entertained during the drive.

Regarding efficiency, the gas-powered hatchback offers an EPA-estimated 30 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway, while the hybrid option is rated for an estimated 50 MPG in the city and 45 MPG on the highway.[c] On the safety side of things, the hatchback is well-equipped, offering features that keep you centered in your lane, provide you with alerts when traffic changes up ahead, and much more.

2025 Honda Civic Type R

While the Civic Si offers you the chance to enjoy the drive with a bit more power on your side, the Honda Civic Type R takes things to a whole new level. As mentioned, this Civic is track-ready in every way you can imagine, from its 315-hp 2.0L turbocharged VTEC engine to the four-mode drive system, which allows you to shift easily from the track to the street. The Civic Type R is also equipped with dual-axis front suspension that minimizes torque steer while providing you with precision handling, as well as Brembo front brake calipers for impressive stopping power.

The exterior of the Civic Type R is designed for optimum aerodynamics. This can be seen in the larger grille, which helps to cool the engine during hard driving, the side underbody spoilers, the front fender outlets, and the integrated rear fenders, all of which help guide airflow and improve stability. Last but not least, there is a track-tested rear wing spoiler that helps increase downforce and control air resistance. In other words, the Civic Type R not only looks like it can fly down the road—it truly can.

Another feature of the Type R is its advanced technology. For instance, it has an exclusive Honda LogR datalogger that gives you real-time data and feedback, including lap times, tire friction data, oil temperature, and more. Plus, you can connect to the Honda LogR app from a compatible phone to access information remotely. Of course, you’ll also find connectivity features, such as the ability to connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto onboard, as well as safety features that offer peace of mind during the drive.
