The 2025 Honda Pilot is a mid-size crossover SUV that excels most of all on difficult roads, tight corners, and challenging terrain. Combining rugged design with a spacious interior for up to eight people, the 2025 Honda Pilot features a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. However, the traction and handling of the 2025 Honda Pilot are customizable to match your preferences.

Trims with AWD

Six trims are available for the 2025 model year: the Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. Three trims – the TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition – feature standard all-wheel drive capabilities with intelligent variable torque management to enhance traction and stability in almost any condition. The remaining three trims – the Sport, EX-L, and Touring – come standard with a front-wheel drive system, but the option for an all-wheel drive system is also available for an additional cost.

The TrailSport trim has a specially tuned all-wheel-drive system that combines an extra inch of lift height, steel skid plates, all-terrain tires, and off-road-tuned suspension to expand the range of possible driving conditions. For additional control over traction and terrain management, five different drive modes are available on all trims: normal, econ, snow, tow, and sport. Two more drive modes are also available on most all-wheel drive trims: trail and sand.

All-wheel drive affects more than just handling; however, it also affects the maximum towing capacity. All-wheel drive models can tow up to 5,000 pounds of equipment, compared to just 3,500 pounds on the front-wheel drive models.
